Pathfinder, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides education, housing, and jobs for the disabled. The folks we took to lunch are residents of a group home sponsored by Pathfinders to provide housing for the mentally handicapped.
Pathfinder, Inc. operates on the basic concept that all people, regardless of individual differences or intellectual abilities, have an inalienable right to access programs and services tailored to their specific needs in order to help them achieve their maximum potential. The underlying purpose of Pathfinder is that all human beings have intrinsic worth regardless of intellectual ability, potential for development when fostered, and the ability and duty to contribute something of value to his fellow man.
Seeing as how these concepts fall right in line with the Crafton Tull Core Values, as well as our 50/50 campaign, on Friday May 17th several employees of the Little Rock office had the pleasure of seeing this extraordinary program in action when they, along with twelve residents and three workers –including the group home’s head honcho – enjoyed lunch together at Golden Corral. Jessica Jones and Jerry Kelso, who were responsible for organizing the event, went to Academy sports to purchase Razorback t-shirts and gifts for the home’s residents.
Everyone had such a good time, it turned into an almost three hour lunch date! Those who attended received and learned as much from the Pathfinder residents as we hope they received and learned from us!
